Privacy policy

1. What does this Privacy Policy mean?

This privacy policy (hereinafter - Privacy Policy ) defines the basic rules and conditions for processing personal data that apply to visitors of the website www.metalita.lt (hereinafter - Website ); Metalita, UAB (hereinafter - Metalita ) for customers (natural persons) or representatives of customers (legal persons); for candidates participating in Metalita selections for vacant positions; to persons who apply/submit inquiries to Metalita; For representatives of Metalita partners and service providers and others.

2. What is personal data?

Personal data is any Metalita information about you is collected/stored, which can be used, for example, to determine your personal identity, provide you with services or sell goods, etc., and is stored electronically or in paper form.

Personal data includes any information, including, but not limited to, your name, surname, address, e-mail address, telephone number, which Metalita collects/stores about you in the Privacy Policy or in your separate consent or agreement with Metalita specified objectives.

3. Whose personal data Metalita manage?

We need your personal data, which can be collected in the ways described below. In the privacy policy, we indicate what you can expect when Metalita collects personal data about:

  • our clients (natural persons) and representatives of our clients (legal entities);
  • persons who cooperate with us (partners/external service providers);
  • website visitors;
  • persons who have submitted inquiries/requests to us;
  • candidates for a vacant position;

4. How does Metalita.lt receive your personal data?

We collect your personal data that you provide us about yourself when you provide your personal data through Metalita the website www.metalita.lt or in order to contact us through the specified contact data, when you provide us with your data so that we can provide services to you as a customer, as well as when you apply to work for us, etc.

  • When concluding service provision/cooperation/other contracts;
  • When you submit your data (inquiries) to us through our website or on-site;
  • When you send an e-mail to Metalita at the specified e-mail address;
  • When you agree to the installation of cookies on your device;
  • When you apply for our vacancies.
  • Do you provide information in another way or with your consent when receiving information from third parties.

5. What personal data do we process and for what purpose?

For the purpose of providing services and/or selling goods to natural persons, the following personal data of customers (natural persons) are processed:

  • Name, surname, e-mail postal address, telephone number, bank account number, details of suppliers and buyers, other personal data related to the provision of services or the sale of goods.

For the purpose of providing services or selling goods to legal entities, the following personal data of representatives of customers (legal entities) are processed:

  • Contact data (name, surname, address, e-mail address, telephone number).

Cooperation/partnership with Metalita the following personal data of partners/external service providers (their representatives) are processed for the purpose:

  • name, surname, phone number, address, e-mail postal address, bank account number.

Requests received through Metalita The following personal data of website visitors are processed for the purpose of website administration and response submission:

  • name, email address.

It should be noted that Metalita deletes redundant personal data provided by data subjects that are not necessary for the purpose of submitting a request and receiving a response.

For the purpose of selecting new employees, the following personal data of candidates are processed:

  • name, surname, CV, phone number, e-mail address, available certificates, diploma, image, qualifications, work experience (previous jobs).

The following personal data of customers (natural persons) or representatives of customers (legal persons) are processed for the purpose of direct marketing:

  • name, email mail adress.

After the visitor logs in or visits Metalita on the website, the following technical personal data are automatically collected and processed:

  • IP address;
  • login date and time;
  • the name and universal address (URL) of the web page that links to our website;
  • Operating system data of the visitor's device;
  • Information of the visitor's Internet service provider;
  • Geolocation data of the visitor;
  • other related technical information.

In its activities, Metalita is also the Data Controller of some of its customers and, as Data Controllers, processes their personal data in their interests and on behalf of them, in accordance with the Data Processing Agreements concluded with them and written instructions regarding the processing of personal data.

6. What are the grounds for lawful processing and how much is stored?

Agreement (service provision/cooperation/other);

Legitimate interest - to answer your inquiries, provide information that you ask us, etc

Fulfillment of obligations established by legal acts (fulfilment of the requirements of the legal acts of the activity being carried out, accounting, archiving, etc.);

Consent (eg participating in recruitment, direct marketing, etc.).

We will store your personal data for as long as it is necessary to achieve and implement the goals set out in this Privacy Policy, taking into account the nature of the services or cooperation provided to you, except in cases where longer storage of personal data and related documents is determined in accordance with applicable regulatory legislation and is necessary (e.g. .mandatory storage terms for accounting and other documents, etc.) or conditioned by the defense of the legitimate interests of the data controller in judicial or other state institutions.

7. Direct marketing

If you become our customer and give separate consent during the collection of personal data, your personal data may be processed for direct marketing purposes.

You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes.

Metalite no longer processes (uses) your personal data for direct marketing purposes, as soon as you object to data processing for this purpose or withdraw your consent.

Your refusal to receive promotional offers and news will not prevent you from using our services, but it will mean that we will not be able to provide you with useful offers. You can inform us about disagreement or withdrawal of your consent by e-mail. by mail info@metalita.lt.

For direct marketing purposes Metalita uses your personal data as long as you are a Metalita customer, except if you withdraw your consent.

8. Disclosure of data

We may disclose information about you to our employees, service providers or other recipients if reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

In certain circumstances, we may be obliged to transfer your personal data when:

  • we must disclose information in accordance with the law, including cases where we must disclose personal data to tax authorities and law enforcement authorities for the purposes of crime prevention and detection;
  • we need to disclose personal data for legal proceedings or to obtain legal advice, or disclosure is necessary to establish, exercise or defend our rights;
  • disclosure is necessary to protect our interests or those of others (for example, to prevent fraud);
  • information must be disclosed to a third party that provides administration or data processing services on our behalf (our Data Processors). In such circumstances, we undertake to take measures to ensure that third parties protect personal data in the same way as we protect them, and to notify you of changes to this Privacy Policy; and
  • information must be disclosed to a potential buyer of our company's assets or organization.

If your personal data will be transferred to a third country and/or international organization, we will inform you about it in advance and ensure that the data is transferred in compliance with the requirements of valid legal regulations.

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation, the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania and other legal acts. When processing your personal data, we implement organizational and technical measures that ensure the protection of your personal data against accidental or illegal destruction, alteration, disclosure, as well as against any other illegal processing.

10. Your rights

Without undue delay, but no later than within 1 month of receiving the request, we will provide you with information about the actions taken upon receipt of your request regarding the exercise of your rights. Depending on the complexity of the request and the number of requests received, the aforementioned deadline may be extended for another 2 months.

  • Right to withdraw consent

If you have given us your explicit consent for the processing of your data, you can revoke it at any time by notifying us at the e-mail address: info@metalita.lt.

  • The right to access your personal data

We want you to fully understand how we use your personal data and not experience any inconvenience as a result. You can contact us at any time and ask whether we process any of your personal data. If we store or use your personal data in any way, you have the right to access them. To do this, submit a written request to us at the following e-mail address: info@metalita.lt.

  • Additional rights

Below we provide information about additional rights you have, which you can exercise by following the procedure described below.

  • You have the right to ask us to correct any inaccuracies in the data we hold. In this case, we may ask you to confirm the corrected information.
  • You have the right to ask us to delete your personal data. Please note that we will only be able to fulfill such a request if:
  • Your personal data is no longer necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected (for example, we need your personal data to be able to respond to your letters);
  • we are prohibited by law from collecting, storing or using personal data;
  • Your personal data is not required to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, for example in a legal process.
  • You have the right to ask us to limit the processing of your personal data or not to process them:
  • during the period necessary for us to verify the accuracy of your personal data when you submit claims regarding the accuracy of the data;
  • when our collection, storage or use of your personal data is illegal, but you decide not to request data deletion;
  • when we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to establish, fulfill or defend a legal claim;
  • for the period required to determine whether we have an overriding legal basis to continue processing your personal data, if you have exercised your right to object to the processing of personal data.
  • You have the right to the transfer of data that we received from you with your consent or for the purposes of concluding a contract. After you exercise this right, we will transfer a copy of the data you provided at your request.
  • You have the right to object to us using your personal data:
  • when we use such data to ensure our legitimate interests, but we do not have a more important legal basis to continue using your personal data; or
  • any time we use your personal data to send newsletters or for direct marketing purposes. In this case, the data will no longer be used for these purposes, but may be used for other legitimate purposes.

11. Complaints

If you believe that your rights as a subject of personal data are and/or may be violated, please contact us immediately with a complaint to the e-mail address info@metalita.lt. Only after receiving your complaint, we undertake to contact you no later than within 14 days and inform you about the progress of the investigation of the complaint, and later about the result.

When you contact us to file a complaint, we only use your personal data to examine and respond to the complaint and to evaluate the quality of our services. If we receive a complaint about a member of our team, we may need to disclose your personal identity to that person. At the time of filing a complaint, you may indicate that you do not wish your personally identifiable information to be disclosed, and we will endeavor to comply with your request. However, handling a complaint anonymously may not always be possible.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint directly with the State Data Protection Inspectorate (phone number +370 5271 2804, e-mail: ada@ada.lt). You also have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority in the Member State where you have your permanent residence, workplace or place where a possible breach of personal data security has occurred.

12. Responsibility

You are responsible for any actions (transfer of data, orders placed, etc.) performed on our website. You are responsible for ensuring that the data you provide to us is accurate, correct and complete. If the data you provided changes, you must immediately inform us about it by e-mail at info@metalita.lt. In no case will we be liable for any damage caused to you due to the fact that you have provided incorrect or incomplete personal data or have not informed us when they have changed.

13. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may update or change this Privacy Policy at any time. Such updated or modified Privacy Policy will be effective upon its posting on our Website.

The "Update Date" at the bottom of the Privacy Policy indicates when the Privacy Policy was last updated.
